JUNE 2022 : Urban Farming Diseviscourt KeNako support

17/06/2022 : RALPH DISEVISCOURT alias "DIZZY" joined KeNako asbl. to support our "URBAN FARMING PROJECT" in Khayelitsha. Ralph Diseviscourt supports our "Urban Farming Project Khayelitsha" while he is biking 2600km, 40000m ascending elevation through France during the "Race Across France" starting today. He will be accompanied by a team of 7 people including Dan Leiner, his personal osteopath. Thanks a lot and good luck. 

As the Trans Siberian Race has been cancelled due to the actual war between Russia and the Ukraine, it has been replaced by 3 different events where our extreme sportsman from Luxembourg will take part : 

Race Across Belgium 1000km - 10000hm
Race Across France 2600km - 40000hm
6-12-24 Hours World Time Trial, Borrego California

2022 MAY : Love SA Video KeNako The american foundation LOVE S.A. has choosen KeNako asbl. to organize and coordinate the production of a video clip in order to raise funds in the US and thereby support a school in the township of Khayelitsha.
2021 OCTOBER : Cape Epic Team Lux 17-24/10/2021 : Green Guerrillas Teams Luxembourg participated at the 2021 Cape Epic Race in South Africa to raise funds for KeNako's "Urban Farming Project" in total 5200.-€

2020 July : Kenako Loyiso Mfuku car donation 20/07/2020 : SABrewery sponsored Loyiso Mfuku with a new car. KeNako asbl. contributed by a letter of recommandation explaining the needs for transport from Khayelitsha to Masiphumelele for our 10 volunteers attending the "Urban Farming Project" training. Congratulations Loyiso, you deserve it!

2020 June :  URBAN FARMING KeNako project

01/06/2020 : A KeNako asbl. delegation visited together with Loyiso Mfuku, a representative of Khayelitsha's communty leaders, the Green Guerrillas project in Masiphumelele led by Akim Riemer to discuss a new URBAN FARMING PROJECT in Khayelitsha.

2020 May :  KeNako Khayelitsha Lockdown Fundraising 31/05/2020 : After 2 month of fundraising KeNako was able to donate a total of 223.900 ZAR (11.550€) to 276 families in need in Khayelitsha. Thanks for your generosity!!!
2020 May : KeNako URGENT NEEDS ROTARY Junglinster 07/05/2020 : Second donation of 3000.-€ from ROTARY CLUB Junglinster/Syrdall in favor of onother 115 families from Kahyelitsha. Thanks again.
2020 April :  Lockdown SA KeNako donations 28/04/2002 : More donations coming into our account in Luxembourg. Today we had been able to help in Arpil out another 32 families which rises the total amount to 138 families! Many many thanks to our generous donators.

2017 October :  RUN4KIDS 22/10/2017 : RUN4KIDS - MISSION FULFILLED !! Renée & Daniel Leiner succeeded in all 4 sport events during 2017. 
2017 May : KENAKO ASBL. 28/05/2017 : First "Journée des Associations de Bienfaisance" organized in Bergem at the Culturel Centre "Beim Nëssert" with the participation of KeNako asbl.

2017 February : Lions Club/KeNako cots inauguration Project financed by the "Lion's Club International - Luxembourg Amitié". Replacement of the existing cots in the girl's and boy's bedrooms. 14 new cots have been bought, each equiped with waterrepellant, antibacterial bamboo mattresses and breathable bamboo protection sheets. The inauguration took place on the 23/2/17 in presence of a delegation from the Lions Club, KeNako asbl. and the director of the Fikelela centre. 
2017 February : Cots for Fikelela Assembling the 14 new cots at the Fikelela Centre together with Keith and his team as well as the Kids Living team and Patricia & Mike Frantz from KeNako asbl. A donation by the Lions Club Amitié-Luxembourg.
2016 December :  New Kitchen

Replacement of the aging facilities by a new and better equiped kitchen including 8 electrical cooking plates, 2 electric ovens, 1 refrigerator/freezer, 1 microwave, 2 extractor hoods and a stainless steel sink.The scullery has been provided with metal shelves. This project has been financed by Renée & Daniel Leiner from Luxembourg.

  

2016 December : Vélos pour Noël Handover of 4 new bicycles (2 for girls and 2 for boys) from KeNako asbl. as a Christmas gift for the children in order to improve their coordination skills.
2016 November : Clothes from Luxembourg Beverly Hendricks, manager of Fikelela Aids Association, welcomes Renée & Daniel Leiner and Mike & Patrica Frantz from KeNako asbl. at their office in Cape Town. A collection of clothes, school items and toys from Luxembourg has been handed over at this occasion.
2016 June :  KeNako asbl. Improvement of the cupboards in the girls and boys bedrooms as well as the cupboard units in the living areas. This project has been financed by Sandrine & Marc Hoffmann from Luxembourg.
2016 Mai : Donation from France Winter clothes collected et donated by Sandra & Didier Campos from France.
